Yeah, nobody ever makes it easy for me.

Basic Information

Name: Alcide DeLude
Age: 20
Devil-Fruit: Goe Goe no Mi
Equipment: Just the clothes on his back and a cool looking hat.
Affiliation: Neutral
Occupation: Bounty Hunter
Bounty: A Bounty Hunter with a bounty would be kinda silly, right?

Combat Information

Skills:

  • Strength: Alcide is a very strong individual, able to physically hold his own (but not necessarily overpower) even your average giant.
  • Agility: Alcide can move his body fluidly and swiftly, allowing him to perform master acrobatic feats and move his body like a contortionist, assuming postures that would be painful or even impossible for your average person to perform.
  • Conversationalist: Alcide is a fast-talker by nature, and tends to use this as his first resort or defense rather. He's more of a "ask questions first, punch later" kind of guy.
  • Hand-to-Hand Specialist: Alcide's primary form of combat is fisticuffs, using his entire body as a weapon in his own improvised combat style.

Abilities:

  • Goe Goe no Mi: This Devil Fruit allows the user to fire concentrated beams of sound by yelling. These beams, like laser, have the capacity to melt through nearly any substance, but can be reflected through proper means as the beam is made of sound.
  • Busoshoku Haki: Alcide has trained in Busoshoku, allowing him to strengthen his body further to perform magnificent feats of strength and resilience.

History
Alcide was your typical street urchin who wanted something more for himself. He made his life in childhood through petty thievery for a local gang, earning small bits of money just to keep his stomach full and his mouth wet. Once the gang learned just how well he could talk his way into (or out of) a situation, they started putting Alcide to work on bigger tasks: when he was once stealing from merchants, he was now stealing from nobles, marines, and even pirates. It was on one such heist that he got his hands on enough money to make his entire gang set for life. The loot was collected, but the heist wasn't entirely successful. The band of pirates found their thief and went to claim the booty, and Alcide's gang threw him under the bus. It was only through silver-tongued coercion that Alcide managed to keep his life and instead work as a cabin boy for the crew.

Over the next few years, Alcide was a member of the Sea Spirits Crew, and he eventually grew to be a respected member of the crew, often keeping morale up with his wild antics or witty remarks and proving himself to be a strong disciple of the captain's combat training. Misfortune struck the Sea Spirits, however, as they were attacked by the ruthless Death's Mark Crew and their members either killed or enslaved. While enslaved by Death's Mark, Alcide saw a different side of the adventurous life of a pirate, a darker side. Death's Mark engaged in brutal practices: mass murder, torture, rape, human trafficking, and so many others; the captain of Death's Mark felt himself above men, and commanded his followers by either twisting their hearts or instilling enough fear into them.

Death's Mark continued to grow larger and larger in size, and the people ruled by fear slowly began to outnumber those converted to the cause. Once the count was high enough, Alcide made a daring move: mutiny. After stealing and ingesting the Goe Goe Fruit (a task that unfortunately costed a poor girl her innocence), Alcide staged a grand mutiny with a mass of other slaves. Naturally after the dust settled, people looked to Alcide to take over this ship, but he declined. Having seen how easily power had corrupted once decent men, Alcide decided to instead live a life constantly on the move, taking out not just pirates, but anyone who uses their powers for oppression as a Bounty Hunter. People don't always get to make money doing what they love, right?
